Summer 2004 Summer 2004 Seasonal Essay
August 2004

This July has been much cooler, not only compared to the one of 2003, but also cooler than 1998 and 1999 ones.

Since the beginning of this month the weather has been dry and sunny, the higher temperatures have never been too elevated, and the lower ones slowed maturation processes down, as sometimes it got quite cold.

There is a delay of about 2 weeks in comparison to 2003 and of about 1 week in comparison to the last 10 years. Up to this point it seems like this is going to be a harvest with Burgundian/Alsatian characteristics, which means that it will be more favourable for white wines than it will be for reds.

VINITALY is Always more Intense
April 2004

Also this year Verona’s fair has been a great test for our wines and for our resistance abilities, too as in some moments our stand was really crowded.
On the whole a bit more than 300 bottles were uncorked (two of which cork-tainted) and more than 5.000 tastings were distributed.
Generally those who tasted our wines appreciated their territorial character built by heat, softness, fragrant freshness, exactly what we have been focusing on during these years and that is well expressed in the 2003 vintage.

We have come back and it’s Spring time…
