Harvest 2009
September 2009
Dear Friends,
another early harvest which arrived and left tradition behind!
At mid-September the harvest of our white varieties was over. We had good weather and high temperatures throughout the entire period, which is the reason why we usually begun harvesting at dawn and, when temperatures were particularly warm, we could go on just in the morning.
After that, weather kept on being good, although temperatures got lower, and these conditions led to a slower maturation of the red grapes, which were harvested between the end of September and the beginning of October. On the whole 2009 can be defined a well-promising vintage: white wines express an enfolding, not too extreme structure well-integrated with freshness and saltiness. For what it concerns red grapes, the conditions for their maturation were ideal and the wines are confirming these premises.

Spring Sensations....
After experiencing an intense and at times frenetic Vinitaly, we are back in San Lorenzo where spring was waiting for us!
To tell the truth we found good signs even in Verona. The world of wine has a positive attitude, both operators and wine lovers confirmed us that wine is always more linked to the relationship between man and soil, and that It’s future is to be found in It’s origines.
A new and exciting season is now starting, in the fields vines launched their unmistakable signal, in the cellar 2008 wines are maturing their character and personality.
It will be another good vintage!
We wish you all a happy Easter, especially to our friends from Abruzzo.
